⚡ What is PHOTON — the Fuel for the AtomOne Network

PHOTON is a special kind of “money” used to pay for all activities within the AtomOne network.

Imagine the network as a car, and PHOTON as fuel: without it, the car simply won’t move.

💡 Where PHOTON is Used

It is required to pay fees wherever activity occurs in the AtomOne network:

• on the main chain (where all core operations take place),
• in the future hub — the central part of the ecosystem,
• in shards — small “branches” of the network that process a portion of transactions,
• for cross-chain transfers via IBC and ICS (like international transfers in the crypto world).

👉 Most importantly — PHOTON is the ONLY token accepted for all these payments.

No other coins can be used.

📘 Example:

You send 100 ATONE to a friend — the network takes a small fee, for example 0.01 PHOTON, and the transaction goes through. Simple and transparent.

🪙 Why This System is Needed

AtomOne has adopted a two-token model, where roles are clearly separated:

• ATONE — responsible for staking and governance of the network,
• PHOTON — used only for paying transaction fees.

This separation makes the system stable, and transactions predictable and transparent.
